Each animal is from a herd selected for milking ability, meat colour, marbling, fat depth, maturity and ultimate pH.
“Natures Beef™” cattle are born and raised on local natural grasses, watered from pristine streams and finished on selected cereal grains when appropriate.
Our cattle are selected for genetic traits which exhibit enriched omega-3 and omega-6 monounsaturated fats and contain a higher percentage of healthier monounsaturated fats than most other beef cattle.
All our livestock are born, raised and handled in a naturally clean and safe environment and each of our farms are CattleCare™ accredited.
In our animal husbandry we adopt humane handling practices when sorting and transporting stock to ensure high levels of comfort and satisfaction in promoting good animal health and well being. This also minimizes bruising and trauma right up to the moment of slaughter.
All beef is certified ‘free from hormone growth promotants’ while DNA traceability and our customised P2PTRAK™ identification system, ensures that the highest levels of integrity and food safety are maintained at all times.
With the advent of computerization, we can now track each animal from its conception (genetic selection), through our MeatHall™ at Tweed Heads, to the moment of its sale and consumption.
All our beef has MSA certification which standards are backed by independent audit to the AS/NZ IS09001/2000 Standard.
